5 Summer Looks for Large Men
Summer is here and it has a habit of passing by in seemingly the blink of an eye. You know what that means - Mega Men, it’s time to put the warm clothes away and pull out cooler wear for the warm months ahead.
5 Ways to Look Tight all Summer Long
Keen to stay on-trend through the tropical weather? Keep reading the blog as we reveal five looks and tips that will keep you looking and feeling good all summer long.
1. Formal & Fine
When you’re looking to impress at a formal occasion, bear in mind that your main goal is to give the impression of elongating your body for a slimming effect. The best way to do this is to wear dark, solid colours or vertical stripes. Be sure to avoid plaids and horizontal stripes. Try a dark navy suit or a charcoal one with a matching navy or grey shirt.
2. Working Well
For your summer work outfits, go with varying tones of dark colours. A single colour can be quite severe, especially if you choose black, but if you go for varying shades of blue, for example, you can keep it flattering, modest, presentable and approachable. You can opt for a nice pair of brown slacks paired with a blue or black blazer and the matching shirt of your choice.
3. Kitted Out for a Night Out
Whether it’s for a boys’ night or a hot date, grab your best-fitting pair of jeans and pair them with a semi-formal button-up shirt that you can wear without tucking. Opt for a dark colour – blue is better for summer but you can’t go wrong with black – and a straight, no-frills design with a fairly long overhang – but not too long.
4. Keeping it Casual
Summer weather can be unpredictable. On some days you can dress for the beach, while on others, you may need to be somewhat warmer. For the hotter days, you can just grab a pair of cargo shorts, sandals and a plain T-shirt. On the cooler days, simply replace the shorts with a pair of jeans and the sandals with your All-Stars or boat shoes.
5. Working it at the Gym
You’ve probably been wearing tracks at the gym for the colder months but now it’s time to go for a cooler look and to show off the results of your winter leg workouts. You may not be comfortable in Spandex and that’s okay. A good pair of old-fashioned rugby shorts, with a simple T-shirt, will be enough to keep you cool, while also looking presentable in the gym.
